Fic - Mythos - Extended Author Notes
Sep. 27th, 2011 07:06 pmHow I see the rest of my AU Season 6 playing out
Hunts/Creatures - Obviously, I still want the ep where Dean turned into a vampire, only it wouldn’t be because Sam ‘let’ him. As far as other episodes in the season go, I imagine that Death will send Dean and Sam on a shapeshifter hunt, the aforementioned vampire hunt, perhaps the fairy hunt as well.
In my version of the Mannequin episode - dean and Sam drive away knowing full well that the sister is the key to the ghost and that they are leaving the hunt unfinished because they can’t kill a human. (unlike the VERY NEAT AND CONVENIENT way she was killed at the end of the ep on Show).
Dean - Dean’s still struggling with letting Sam be his own man. At the same time, he tried to get out of the hunt and he’s back in. I’d like to see a Dean-centered episode about how that plays out. I imagine that he always thought having some kind of wholesome life was the thing he’d always want but never get to have. And then he had it and he left it. How does he deal with that? Is there a part of him that’s glad he could leave it behind? Is there a part of him that misses it? How does he feel knowing that he’s just never going to be cut out for that? And of course, I’m all for Smart!Dean.
Sam - I imagine he’ll have some flashbacks of his time as an oracle, sort of mirroring the visions he used to have back when he was still one of Azazel’s special children. He may be slightly precognitive - having visions, knowing things, etc. At some point, this probably would interfere with the wall that Death has built up in his head. There would probably by a Sam-centered episode about all the junk that’s in his brain - Hell, Oracle, Former Boy King.
Cas - I hope to get around to writing a Cas-centered fic about the crying Virgin Mary he mentions at the end. I want to do a religious-oriented hunt for Cas, perhaps with children seeing the Virgin Mary like Our Lady of Fatima, or even possibly people being afflicted with Stigmata. What does it all mean? I’ll let you know when I figure it out!
I imagine him as ‘mostly’ human. He clearly has some elements of ‘otherness’ about him still and these things would continue to come out as the season progresses.
Chuck! - Chuck would continue to be a prophet, or my exposition fairy as needed! I heart Chuck so HARD and miss him.
The Campbells - I’m not too sold either way on this. Basically, Death could bring back Granddad Campbell if he was needed, although I don’t really know what the point would be. I didn’t really see the point the first time around. Although, I have always, always always wanted Sam and Dean to meet their female counterparts on the road - A set of sister hunters only they are more technologically savvy than the Winchesters - They have demon digital libraries and use GPS technology and have to hunt with their brains more than their brawn simply because they don’t have brute strength at their disposal. So perhaps Campbell Sisters?
The end of AU S6/Overall Arc- So, Nyx at some point will decide she wants to live on this side (and not the other side of the rift where she is normally). And she decides she wants to be in charge. That would lead to Team Free Will trying to figure out how to stop her and they would then figure out that if they can power Cas back up with a multitude of souls, then he would be able to stop her and seal her back on her side of the rift. Cue huge amounts of angst as he would be doing it for the team, for humanity and Dean and Sam have to let him and actively help him.
I’m not sure if he would go God!Cas at the end like he did before, although I think that would certainly be an interesting way to go. Having Cas’ actions be supported and assisted by the Winchesters and then have it go so horribly wrong.
