We're gonna Need a Bigger boat

So, I signed up for nanowrimo this year.

It starts in, like, 36 hrs or something and I have yet to think of a plot.
and while I know I won't be flogged mercilessly for not writing 1667 words a day (or 50000 this month) I can't help but feel anxious.

I told myself that I didn't have to write all on one project. I could rotate if needs be, so that I wouldn't be... overwhelmed.

but the urge is there to just do one project and stick with it!

But.... I don't have a complete plot for the original fic I was thinking of doing.
I could always go back to my failed spn_meanttobe (Dean/Cas) and do that.
Or I could go WAY back to an original fic I've been working on since 1996 (no, you read that right, 1996). It's at 110,000 words and frankly, it lacks... cohesiveness and flow. It pretty much needs to be redone from the start.
Or I could do a sequel to Dark Shadows
Or I could do an SGA John/Rodney.

I kind of feel pulled in multiple directions. which is why I thought of rotating projects and just have the goal be the words and not the novel.

*am torn.

I know I don't finish them, but I love seeing the cards! Having ideas roll around in my brain! I never know what will fall out!

So today, my mum and I were discussing the Vancouver riots and there was this one guy who posted something quite.... inflammatory on his Facebook and his employer fired him.

and we were both saying, yes, of course he was fired. In this day and age, if you're online in a widely popular media site, anything you say is pretty much equivalent to shooting it out loud in a public room.

And I said "Yeah, I mean, I'm friends with my coworkers on FB, my boss, people in the same industry as me. I think about that before I post anything."

She said "Yeah. Don't post anything you wouldn't' want your mother to read."

and in my head I IMMEDIATELY thought of all my slash fiction and was like, ".....uh, yeah. Is that the dryer I hear finishing?" *scampers away*

1. Didn't we just submit our SPN_J2 big bang?
